Grand Café Horta – Cuisine specialised in unique beer-based dishes
The iron rafters that you can admire here were originally used at the House of the People in Brussels, designed by the renowned Art Nouveau architect Victor Horta; the structure was been demolished, in spite of international protest, in 1965.
After years in search of a home, the remains of the House of the People has found a definitive resting place in this modern building at the heart of Antwerp, where old and new are perfectly combined.
The Grand Café is on the ground floor and the lower level.
It is open daily for breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m., Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The kitchen is open all day between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays until 11:30 p.m.
We serve a contemporary cuisine specialising in unique beer-based dishes.
