Plaasj Kaffee – The ultimate holiday mood with delicious culinary touch close to home
For over a quarter of a century, “‘t strand van Sint-Anneke” has been home to the delightful “Antwaarpe” pavement café, with its lovely view over “‘t Scheld”. In 2002, new owners An and Dave gave the entire premises a contemporary, trendy face-lift.
The spacious terrace seats around 350 people. It is divided into various sections, which can be reserved for private and corporate occasions. Now that our terrace has a contemporary canopy, “Open Space”, you and your guests can enjoy the water and the light on the Scheldt even more and even better. Take a look at www.plaasjkaffee.be
When winter chills begin to bite, the interior can also be reserved for festivities of all kinds.
The play area features a picturesque outdoor bar suitable for use in both winter and summer, so that you can keep a weather eye on your young scamps while they romp. We have also thought of every last detail for the kids inside, with a brilliant indoor play area.
Chef Gil De Laet offers an extensive and varied menu and suggestions that change every month…and not forgetting the famed “Plaasj mussels”.
Gil has gained his spurs in the course of a packed career. As a newly qualified youngster from PIVA, he started working as a chef at famed eateries such as De Jachthoorn, RYAC, Mendy’s, and of course De Molensteen.
The highly motivated and talented team at Plaasj Kaffee will make every effort to ensure that your visit to “‘t strand van St.-Anneke” is a great success.

Open every day from 11.00; kitchen opens at 11.45. During the winter we close at 17.00, except for reservations for ten or more people.
